Running of the Bulls

Yep it's got bulls but it also has food fights, sangria by the bucketload, and street parties! Pamplona's yearly San Fermin festival has more to it than bulls and is worth a stop for the party alone whether you intend on running or not! Held each year in early July in Pamplona (near San Sebastian), this festival is a week long party where pretty much anything goes at any hour of the day. Everyone gets kitted up in white outfits with red bandanas, parties like superstars and runs away from a few bulls.

Opening Day

This is a huge party day with everyone dressed in their whites pelting each other with flours, eggs and anything else that's sticky and gross and drinking sangria by the bucketload.

Bull Runs

Obviously the main attraction is the bull runs. Don't let the partying get the better of you every day you're there though because if you want to run with the bulls it's an early start and I can't imagine it'd be any easier running with a hangover.
